Rep. Norm Dicks (D-Washington) introduced a bill to resolve a long-running boundary dispute between the
Quileute Tribe and
Olympic National Park in Washington.
The tribe will receive a total of 772 acres within the park. The bill enables the tribe to move out of a tsunami and flood zone.
"With the threat of flooding every year, it puts people a little on edge wondering if this was the year it was all going to flood," Chairwoman Anna Rose Counsell-Geyer told The Peninsula Daily News. "People have to live with that fear -- and have lived with it for decades."
